Do you remember your dreams or tend to forget them upon waking? Do you have any recurring dreams or nightmares?

Well, anyone who knows me, knows that sleep time for me is more like an extreme sport than a restful slumber. There are vivid nightmares and dreams, astral travels, book writing episodes, and sometimes I even get out of bed and get involved. And I often incorporate the stand by light on my television. Once it was a beacon in the middle of the desert that I could never quite reach. I must say I can't ever remember waking up feeling rested. I'm usually exhausted.

But last night was a bit special because I experienced smell. And I don't remember ever having done that before. It was an awful strong perfume scent. These three ladies walked past me and I could smell the perfume.  It was very overpowering. Mind you not that I had much opportunity for dreaming last night due to the snoring coming from Daz. I think I really did come close to putting a pillow over his head.

A few years ago I was having some real doozies so I was writing them down each day. So I shall leave you with a little dream I dreamed on 13/6/04. It was a Sunday.

I was a police detective and my partner and I were in an underground car park chasing a woman doctor. (Reason unknown). I saw a woman crouching on the ground and I shot her across the side of the head. Blood was everywhere and very red. My partner told me it wasn't the wanted doctor but another police detective. Oops. Next thing I have the doctor and she is a specialist in period pain and I was asking her how to make mine better and she keeps saying she will tell me tomorrow. She keeps trying to touch my stomach and I keep slapping her. Then she reaches behind me and touches the back of my knee and tells me I have to be careful I don't get any lumpiness back there.

Woke up and had some naprogesic.

Wow. My dreams are never that interactive. Usually have to do with things bursting into flames or falling off ledges or chainsaws and such.I told my husband on Monday – after six straight days of no sleep because of his snoring – that if he told me he was tired I would kill him. That night, I remembered my 'one snore' rule. He wakes me up once, I get up and leave. He can pout until his face falls off. I think he finally realized how close he is to a pillow sandwich.

My dreams are epic. I actually experience them, like I'm there.there is a sleep clinic opening here soon and the doc is going to send Daz – he said his ding-a-ling is too big (the one in his throat that is) – I think they do something awful to it (fingers crossed thats its awful and painful anyway) so there is more room in there. Although I think a friend had his "dealt" with but it didn't really stop him snoring anyway. I'm thinking a caravan in the back yard for him may be the way to go

It will be interesting to hear how that works out for Daz. Snoremeister's sleep study showed he's got apnea (mild because they don't have to sleep with him) and they sent him to an ear/nose/throat doc who said his tongue was fat because he's gained weight. Doc said all the surgeries are worthless because everything grows back and/or relocates. I asked if cutting off his head would have the same effect. No one ever gives me a straight answer about things like that

lolol – did they suggest one of those evil looking masks that are supposed to help get the air down there – although I reckon I'd find the constant of noise of that just as annoying, helpful for the snorer maybe but not so much for the non sleeper – head removal definitely seems like the best option – pretty sure they don't grow back

Your first paragraph describes me. Exactly. I am almost relieved to know I am not alone! I wish to God I could have a sound, dreamless sleep and wake up refreshed, just once.

There not even like dreams are they – its like you're actually out there doing whatever it is. Last night was funny – I dreamed that if you had typed a block of text and wanted to delete it, you had to blow three breaths into you armpit – and I woke up and I was really doing it

  9. ErinGoBragh Says:

Like I said: you've described me exactly.

    That's hilarious!

Well, you should come and spend a night with me and you might change your mind. lol, my husband said to me the other morning – do you have to drink so much through the night?? because I have to keep a water bottle beside the bed and I slug out of it all night – I'm so thirsty from all the action!
