We went to a nostalgia festival on the weekend. Step back to the fifties. It was mainly cars. Lots of big cars. All I could think was that parking spaces must have been BIG in the fifties. These days you're lucky to fit the Getz into a spot and then you still have to squeeze out so you don't scratch the car next to you.

So there was music and dancing

I heard a couple of old blokes discussing what good legs this lady in the polka dots had.

There were plenty of opportunities to work on that tooth decay.

And there were plenty of cool cars.

She was a pretty rockin' chick – they were having a good time

  2. Looks like you had so much fun. I loved the folks dancing. The cars are really nostalgic and well maintained. Great pictures!!

What fun! Although I have to admit that I have never understood why cars can't be touched. I mean I know all about the collector/paint/finish/perfection thing. But it seems so senseless. If you don't want it touched, don't take it out to a public parking lot. Bring a poster. Or put it in a museum with appropriate barricades all around.I love cars. Just like houses, I think they need to be used, lived in and loved. So I would totally have touched all those cars. And been thrown out of the party 😉

Love the fake food displays on the car service trays.

  5. Rev Stan Says:

Those cars look amazing – just like something out of the movies ;0)

  6. cat Says:

The Dancing was great – they had a band there playing all old music, stalls, food. I love the couple that have the matching shirt and skirt.

  7. cat Says:

ha – well I probably wouldn't bother going all that way to look at a collection of posters

  8. cat Says:

    Yeah, 25cents for a hamburger!!

  9. cat Says:

They were pretty cool – funny though to see some of them with baby seats in the back or GPS systems installed.

  10. I am glad you pointed the matching couple out. I had noticed the polka dot lady but the matching couple is awesome too. The whole things looked like so much fun!

  11. cat Says:

Yeah well polka dot lady was kinda hogging the limelight!

  12. Worker Says:

That must of been fun, it certainly looks like those dancing were having a blast.

  13. I see that now that I look back. The lady in the white dress with the black polka dots knows that she is a good dancer and is enjoying the attention. The others look like they are just there to have fun. Good observation, Cat!

  14. cat Says:

It was a good day – good atmosphere

  15. Katiebell Says:

It really does look like a fun time! I love that the ladies dancing did not all look fabulous, they look like regular people having so much fun!
